I love roses!!!

I just didn't realize how much until I started looking around my house.

They are everywhere.

The one above my sweet daughter gave to me.

She might have inherited the love of roses from me .

I inherited the love of roses from my grandmother!

My sister over at I Love Pretty Little Things also has a love for roses.

They make me happy!!

Sometimes you can find the most unexpected things in the most mundane tasks.

Like this cute shirt. I love the collar it is very anthropologie.

And what about this little dress. Cute with jeans, or boots in the winter.

Just as cute with flip flops in the summer. Oooh I can't wait for the flip flop part!!

These little finds sure did brighten up my little Walmart trip. Yep you heard me Walmart.

And the cute little bud vases in the first picture are from Target. But good old Target is never mundane!!

Today was on of those days where I felt like staying in and start on a new project.

But life got in the way. I was hoping for a snow day so I wouldn't have to get the little chicks and I up and going, but no such luck.

But it did get me thinking that I need some therapeutic creating in my life right about now!!

The problem for me is choosing what project to do. Then picking out the fabric to make it with.

The choices are endless!

I just need to pick something out of my little stash instead of going into a fabric store. In this mind set I could do alot of damage!

I dream of the snow being gone.

Happy Valentines Day

I am especially HAPPY this Valentines day beacause my husband is home from Afghanistan

Last March my husband was deployed with his national gaurd unit. He was in training for three monthin the states, and then deployed in Afghanistan for six month.

He is a capt. with a special forces medical team. While he was over there he had so many wonderful opprotunity to provide medical care for the Afghan people. He was also involved with an organization called Wheels For the World,which provides donated wheelchairs to people in need.

My husband was able to provide three hundred wheelchairs to the Afghan people, all because of Wheels For the World. This was such a rewarding part of this mission for him.

I am so proud of him!!
