Summers End -White Wednesdays's

I always have mixed emotions this time of year.

 

I am a summer girl.

I love the carefree days

of summer

Hot days at the pool,

eating outside,

 Staying up late,

sleeping in.

But I'm always ready to get into 

the routine that school brings,

We are fully emerged into

school days and everything that it brings along with it.
Homework, soccer practice,
early bedtime.

But i'm not ready to let go of Summers end just yet.

For the love of chalk boards

I have a thing for chalk boards.

And since it is the beginning of a new

school year,

I thought it would be fun to make some for my booth.

It also has me thinking a little (just a little)

about fall decorating.

But I'm not going to get to carried away.

It will be here soon enough.

 I picked up this frame at 

an estate sale.

I love the detail on it.

Have you started think fall yet?

Birthday boy, and last summer outing

My middle son Jonah just turned 14.

Where does time go?

This is a cake banner I made for his cake.

I didn't think it was to childish

for this boy-man :)

We also took a little outing to one of our favorite spots.

It's a place we love to go,

The gardens are beautiful.

I have been feeling the need to hang on to all

of these little traditions

we have made through the years.

My little kids aren't so little anymore.

We have always been so close,

It will be weird to have my daughter so far away.

I am so excited for her,

But it just seems like yesterday that they were little.

To all you young Mommy's out there,

on the really hard days just remember

you will wake up one day and they will be 

all grown up.

Hi everybody,

it has been a busy couple of weeks. 

I celebrated 21 years of marriage to this man.

If that doesn't age me then maybe telling

you we went to go see Steely Dan will at Rivinia will.

I also was able to be at the open house

for Carters Cottage,

where I have my booth.

 

 Here I am with my girls who came to

cheer me on!

and this is Laura,

she has a booth next to mine,

Afterwards we all went out for dinner.

This is my sweet daughter and her friend

Bridget. 

These two are Disney bound in one week
for an internship with the Disney college program.

Then it was off to Michigan for sister time

and one last hurrah before school starts.

Wow has the summer flown by!
My boys start school tomorrow,
my baby girl is leaving 
and I'm feeling a little 
melancholy.

Welcome to my work space,

my garage.

And right now it feels overwhelming.

I 'v hit some really great sales in the last couple of weeks,

and been working on painting some furniture.

This weekend is the grand opening of

 the store I have my booth in, 

So i have been working extra hard

 trying to get some things finished.

This is a little display table I found.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

It's a lot of work,

but I love it.

Now I am going to enjoy the rest of summer.

For those who have followed me for the past year, 

just wanted to let you know

 i am feeling great, have had clear scans and am cancer free.
