I know I have been on somewhat of a flower kick
but I can't help myself.

I had this pretty ribbon i stumbled upon in my craft room.

I have also added some Spring things
to my booth at

I love this pottery.
It almost didn't make it to the shop.

Spring flowers

This weekend we had snow.

I do not deal with snow well this time of year.

I long to have my windows open ,
green grass,
and the color of flowers in my yard.

I know it will not be long before
Spring is here.

So until then I like to sprinkle Spring throughout my house.

Pretty fresh flowers make me happy.

 Happy Monday!

Vintage paper flowers

Vintage  paper flower
turtorial

I love these flowers.
They are so whimsical and easy to make.

First you cut out 3 or 4
circles for each flower.

Then you glue them together in the center.

Cut slits to the center of the circle all around the edges.

Fold the edgers into the center and crumple slightly.

Add a button to the center,

And thats it.
Fast and simple,
and oh so cute.

You can make different sizes.
I make them into magnets,

and I use them for embellishment for my crafts.

I used vintage music paper to make these,
but any paper would do.

I am now off for a mini vacation.
I'm going to my sisters for a couple of days.
Just me, myself and I.
I don't know how that happened
but I am so excited about my sister time,
which will include
pedi's
movies
dinners out
long talks
shopping
laughing
(know one makes me laugh harder)
and crying.
Sister time is good for my soul!

Grandma's quilts

I have a thing for quilts.
I am always picking up old and new ones.

So when my mother-in-law brought me quilts that were made by her
grandmother I was very excited.

The details are amazing.

I can't imagine how many hours she spent on making  these quilts.

But I can tell you the new owner of these treasures appreciates every stitch.

I am so thankful to have them.

Happy Monday

Today I am linking up with
Show off your cottage Monday
Over at
The House of Roses

So I thought I would give you a peak into my
China cabinet.

This little cabinet holds much more than china.

I have all kinds of treasures in it that I like to look at.
I found this 1st edition  of
Mastering the art of french cooking
last summer at an estate sale.

I fill it up with things that make me happy.

It is full of gifts from people I love,

And one of a kind garage sale finds.

It holds my old silverware,

And pretty cupcake wrappers.

Cheerful dishes

And hand me downs from my Mom.

This little cabinet holds much more than dishes
it holds memories.
